• March is a bustling market town serving a population of approximately 24,000 and several surrounding
  Fen villages. Situated on the Old River Nene, it has a thriving market on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  with a variety of fresh produce and goods for sale. An historic railway town, it makes
  an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the Fens.

  

  The tall spire of St.Wendredas Parish Church is visible for miles. The Church itself lies
  one hundred yards from The Stars and is well worth a visit. People from all over the world come
  to admire the hundreds of carved wooden angels on the ceiling. A key for the church is kept at the pub and is available from 11 am until sunset.
